Fried Rice
Delicious when paired with Asian Shrimp Sauce.
1 Cup uncooked rice
3 - 4 Tablespoons butter
1 Cup chopped onion
1 Cup chopped carrot
2/3 Cup chopped green onion
2 Cloves minced garlic
3 Tablespoon(s) sesame seeds
5 egg
4 Tablespoons soy sauce
black pepper
Cook rice according to package directions. In a large skillet, melt butter. Add both kinds of onions and carrots. Saute until onions are translucent. Set aside. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Place sesame seeds in a shallow pan and toast for five minutes. Spray non-stick spray into another skillet. Beat eggs and pour into skillet; scramble. Combine rice, vegetables, sesame seeds, and eggs. Add soy sauce and seasonings, stir. Serve immediately. You could also add cooked chicken to this dish.
